It’s never been easier to switch to BT Broadband from another ISP - and now you can get up to £300 of broadband and line rental early termination charges reimbursed in full to your BT account as well.

Here’s how to receive your account credit:

1.      Once you’ve placed your order for BT Broadband, send us your final bill from your current supplier, which must state any early termination charges you have had to pay. If you receive your bills online, simply forward your last bill to switchingteam@bt.com. If you receive a paper bill, just take a photo (or scan) of your bill and send the photo to us at the above email address. Please make sure you include your BT order reference number that our agent will have given you in the subject line of your email

2.      Once we've received your final bill we will check this and send you a confirmation email to let you know we have received everything, and to let you know the amount we will reimburse to your account

3.      We’ll credit your account within 28 days. You’ll see your account credit appear on your BT account which will equal the amount we have stated in the confirmation email to you

Please note: You will still have to pay any termination charges but the credit on your BT account will mean you will get this back in the form of lower payments to BT.

 

The small print

Customers who switch their Broadband from another UK Consumer ISP to BT will have an amount equal to the early termination charges you pay to your ISP for ending your agreement early (up to a maximum of £300) credited to your BT account. The offer applies to Consumer Broadband and Home phone termination charges only and excludes TV package termination charges.  This offer is by invitation only to new BT Broadband customers signing up to any BT Broadband or Infinity service. The amount of the termination charges will be credited to your BT account within 28 days of us receiving your bill with your early termination charges. Excludes call and any excess data charges on the final bill.
You must email your bill to switchingteam@bt.com within a period of 2 months of your BT broadband being activated to be eligible to receive your account credits. Your Broadband/Infinity service is subject to the standard terms of service which can be found at www.bt.com/legalstuff
The Broadband/Infinity service is subject to a minimum period of 12 or 18 months depending on which service you choose. If you decide to end your contract within the minimum period, you will incur a single charge for each month left in the minimum period. The charge can be found at www.bt.com/termcharges.  Offer excludes BT Group employees.
