The Only Way Is Essex star Chloe Sims has admitted she regrets opening up about her plastic surgery.
The 32-year-old has never hidden her use of fillers, her several boob jobs, or her buttock lift – but she has faced abuse on social media from viewers critiquing her decisions.
Looking back at her time on the show so far, she reflected: “I probably would have changed my hair and fashion sense when I first joined the show, and perhaps wouldn’t have been so open about my surgery as that got a bit of backlash.”
However, she added: “I do think everything happens for a reason, and whatever has happened to me is the reason I got here. Everything I did I thought was the right decision at the time.”
TOWIE is set to return for series 16 this Sunday – and James Argent thinks the time is right for pop star Ed Sheeran to join the show.
“I know he’s a fan of the show and apparently I’m his favourite, so I’d love him to do a duet with the Arg-man,” he said.
Meanwhile, his cast-mate Lauren Pope favoured a cameo from comedian Amy Schumer. “I am obsessed with Amy, she started following me on Twitter the other day,” she explained.
“I’d be selfish as I wouldn’t want the other cast to get to know her! I’d want her all to myself.”
The series will kick off with a Marbella special, as the cast of TOWIE head to the Spanish holiday destination. Tears and temper tantrums are almost inevitable: new figures reveal that cast members have broken down in tears a grand total of 267 times across the history of the show.
The drama picks up off the back of the last series, which saw Lockie and Danielle call time on their relationship; old friends Jess and Lauren fall out over Lauren’s feelings for Dan; Lydia enduring ups and downs in her relationship with James; and newcomer Verity rattling the Essex girls and falling for Pete.
Viewers will be able to find out whether Lockie and Danielle are over for good. And last series left us with plenty of unanswered questions: Have Jake and Chloe moved on? What will happen between Dan and Lauren? And are Tommy and Georgia still the power couple?
“I think you need to expect the unexpected when you join TOWIE,” cast-member Lydia Bright advised newcomers to the show. “Anything can happen. We’re all shocked at times. Be prepared for the rollercoaster journey.”
“Be careful what you say, think before you speak and just remember that your actions can have consequences,” warned veteran TOWIE star Jess Wright.
Spelling out the recipe for a good episode, Chloe explained: “I think you have to have good fashion, hair and make up – everyone wants to see that. You should definitely have some TOWIE-isms, some of our own language.
“You definitely need to have light hearted jokes and banter, as that’s very endearing. It also wouldn’t be TOWIE without a bit of drama and a cliffhanger.”
TOWIE returns with a Marbella special on Sunday October 4 at 10pm on ITVBe.
