Believe is one of the most eagerly-awaited American TV show of the year, bringing together as it does Lost creator JJ Abrams and Oscar-winning Gravity director Alfonso Cuarón.

In our exclusive video (above), executive producer Abrams talks about the themes behind the drama and what makes it such a unique television series.

The 13-part series, co-created by Cuarón and produced by the Mexican alongside Star Trek director Abrams, revolves around 10-year-old Bo, a girl born with extraordinary powers which she can neither control nor fully understand. As she grows up, so her abilities are growing stronger and are putting her in great danger.

She is sought by those who want to protect her gift, as well as those who seek to exploit her superpowers, which include telekinesis, levitation and being able to see into the future. Sounds like you’ll love this if you liked sci-fi TV series Heroes.

Believe begins on Watch, Thursday March 27 at 9pm. Watch is available on YouView from BT.
