We can't decide who looks cuter – Prince George or his little sister – in the Cambridges’ Christmas card.
Prince William and Kate have marked their first Christmas since the arrival of Princess Charlotte by releasing a new family photo.
The picture, taken in late October, shows the relaxed young family in the garden of Kensington Palace.
And while six-month-old Charlotte looks picture perfect, it’s two-year-old Prince George who arguably steals the show with his mischievous grin.
The photograph, which was used on their Christmas cards sent out to friends and family, was posted on Twitter and Instagram on Friday by Kensington Palace.
A statement on the post said: “A new family photo – Merry Christmas from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.”
It added: “The Duke and Duchess are hugely appreciative of all the warm messages they have received about their family this year and are very much looking forward to their first Christmas as a family of four.”
Photographer Chris Jelf, who snapped the young family, commented: “I thoroughly enjoyed photographing a very lovely family, although you have to be sharp as you don't have long when there are two young children involved.
“I hope everyone enjoys this photo and I am honoured that The Duke and Duchess have decided to share it with the public.”
The Cambridges will be spending Christmas in their country home Anmer Hall, on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. The Middletons are said to be joining them for Princess Charlotte’s first Christmas after Kate and William have attended church with the royals.
