We’ve all seen the Kate effect in action: dresses she wears sell-out immediately, beauty products the Duchess is rumoured to use notice a rise in sales and even the clothes she dresses her son, Prince George, in are snapped up.
And the Kate effect has struck again, this time in the cosmetic surgery industry.
Apparently, more women than ever are turning to plastic surgeons to get a ‘cute’ nose like Kate’s, with the number of lookalike surgeries trebling since 2011.
A team of surgeons in America claimed the reason behind her perfect schnoz is in the angle - Kate has a slightly upturned nose with a 106 degree angle, considered the most attractive by both men and women.
In the study, women aged between 18 and 25 were asked to vote for their perfect celebrity nose. Kate, along with Scarlett Johansson, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel came out on top.
London facial cosmetic and plastic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva says it’s no surprise that the Duchess’s natural beauty shone through.
“Kate is a natural beauty. Her nose has a refined and feminine shape, it looks like her nose is natural, has no visible irregularities and no hump or asymmetries,” he said.
“Her nose looks in proportion to her face is not too large, too small and importantly, it is in harmony with her face and complements her other features.”
Would you have surgery to copy Kate's nose? Which famous nose would you change yours for?
