Aintree’s Grand National meeting has become synonymous with fashion as much as for the horse racing. A ‘lax’ dress code, which allows women to wear more risqué outfits than at other racecourses, is said to have put off regular attendees who prefer the more strict guidelines of other meets.
The website states that “Aintree does not have a strict dress code, though smart dress is encouraged and preferred” – which has left it in the past to Towie-inspired style, dodgy fake tans and flesh-revealing fashion.
