While you're slobbing around in your leggings and hoodies and eating as much Christmas chocolate as you can, the royals are dressed impeccably as they stick to tradition and attend their annual Christmas day church service in Sandringham.
But what does one wear to spend Christmas with the Queen and what did Kate wear this year? Here's what the Duchess of Cambridge has worn every year.
2011 – Kate’s first Christmas at Sandringham
Despite being engaged to Prince William for Christmas 2010, Catherine wasn’t invited to attend the annual Sandringham get-together until the pair were married in 2011. For her first church service with her in-laws, Kate went full-on festive in a berry-hued frock coat and hat by milliner Jane Corbett.
2013 - Kate’s first Christmas with Prince George
Having missed 2012’s service due to severe morning sickness, Kate and William were back in Sandringham in 2013. Leaving five-month-old Prince George at home, Kate wore a tartan Alexander McQueen coat and matching hat by Gina Foster.
2014 – Kate hosts Christmas
Kate and William played host as her parents Carole and Michael and siblings Pippa and James spent Christmas at the royal couple's Anmer Hall home - but they still made time for the church service. Kate, who was six months pregnant at the time, wore a chic double-breasted tweed coat and Lock & Co hat.
2015 – Kate’s first with Princess Charlotte
Kate went back to green for Christmas 2015 in a moss-coloured coat by Sportsmax and a hat by Lock & Co. 2015 marked Princess Charlotte’s first Christmas, and the seven-month-old was left at home with the nanny, along with big brother Prince George – much to the disappointment of the waiting crowds.
2016 – Kate and William swap Sandringham for Bucklebury
Kate and Wills bucked tradition and spent Christmas at her parents' in Berkshire last year. The couple took Prince George and Princess Charlotte to church in Kate’s home village for the Christmas day service, with Kate wearing a slim-fit coat from Hobbs in oxblood - and since it was a slightly more relaxed affair, no hat for Kate.
2017 – Meghan Markle joins Kate and co
Kate wore a £2,665 tartan coat by Miu Miu, topped off with a furry black hat - a bit of a change from Kate's usual formal headpieces. Meghan, meanwhile, made her Sandringham debut in tonal shades of cream and brown; her camel Sentaler wrap coat sold out almost instantly and we're rather partial to her chic beret and Chloe bag too.
