Huda Kattan is one of the biggest names in the beauty industry right now, but we know so little about her.
We found out everything you need to know about her.
Who is she?
34-year-old Huda Kattan was born in Oklahoma City, US, to Iraqi parents.
She has an older sister, Alya, a younger sister, Mona and a brother, Khalid.
Her sisters work alongside her on the Huda Beauty brand with Alya running the brand’s social media, while Mona is her business partner.
Where does she live?
The beauty mogul is quite the globetrotter and has lived all over the world.
Born in Oklahoma, she moved with her family to Tennessee and then Boston before studying finance at University of Michigan-Dearborn where she met her husband, Chris Goncalo.
She briefly moved to Dubai before relocating to Los Angeles where she trained as a make-up artist and boasted clients such as Eva Longoria and Nicole Richie.
She and her husband have since moved back to Dubai where they live with their daughter, Nour.
How did she get so famous?
When Huda returned to Dubai, she began working as a make-up artist for Revlon before starting her own beauty blog, Huda Beauty in 2010.
From this came her Instagram and YouTube where she built up a loyal following thanks to her viral beauty hacks and tips for a flawless face.
She also engages with her followers and frequently reposts videos of her devotees trying out her tips and products and is careful not to do too many sponsored posts as the trust of her followers is important to her.
Perhaps her selectiveness on sponsored posts has fuelled her prices, as she is reportedly paid $18,000 per post.
She launched her make-up line, Huda Beauty, in 2013 and it’s become one of the fastest growing brands worldwide.
Forbes have named her one of the ten most powerful influencers in beauty, she’s number one on the 2017 Instagram Influencer Rich List, and Time chose her as one of the 25 Most Influential People On The Internet.
Her current Instagram stands at 22.5 million followers.
Where can I shop for Huda Beauty?
Huda Beauty is sold worldwide in Sephora, but sadly we don’t have those in the UK.
