And now he’s one of the trainers featured on E!’s Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian.

The compelling series helps contestants identify why they are overweight and provides them with a new lifestyle so they can reach their desired results.

We spoke to Harley on how to get our own revenge body. Here’s what he had to say.

1. Walk it out

You may be as surprised to learn that Harley’s number one recommended exercise isn’t one of the latest high intensity fitness trends such as HIIT training or CrossFit – but plain old walking.

Harley says it is the first thing he gets his clients to do on Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian and that the results are astounding.

“Walking is the absolute best and fastest exercise for weight loss you could ever get.

"Unlike with the other transformation shows where from day one the trainers have everyone in the gym, pushing, screaming, sweating, really working their butt off, mine was the opposite: I said I’ll tell you what – until I know that you are hitting your daily step goal every day, until I know that you are eating properly and sleeping well, I don’t want you to even put a foot in the gym.

"You will see the dramatic results we have in the first few weeks with contestants just walking more and eating better and not at all going into the gym! It’s really pretty dramatic!” Harley told us.

2. Invest in a blender

Harley naturally advocates a healthy, balanced diet but is more than aware that many of us are simply too busy to cook healthy meals from scratch every day.

As a fast alternative, Harley advises investing in a blender, which is a big part of his Body Reset Diet lifestyle and book.

“I started the Body Reset Diet and this diet basically rebuts all of the cleanses which came out which I think are terrible for you. The Body Reset Diet teaches you how to use a blender to create quick and nutritional meals. A blender doesn’t require cooking techniques and you can fit in all of your greens, healthy fat, fibre and all that you want in there.

"For a big kid like me I can put vegetables in there and for someone who doesn’t like vegetables it’s great!”

3. Start with a small change

Harley advised us to start with a small but meaningful healthy habit, and work up from there.

“Every day before you leave for work in the morning, walk around your road once, that’s your big change for this week," he explained.

"Next week, every time you get home from work walk around your road once. Now you are walking around your road twice a day.

"Adding these small steps like this over time instead of making huge life changes all at once makes it so much easier.”

4. Don’t overexert yourself

Harley isn’t just against the cleanse diet craze of recent years, but also extreme workouts, especially as they can put those new to working out at great risk of physical injury.

“I think that there are many inherent risks with a lot of the popular forms of exercise today. I think many people get through some of the most important fundamentals fast so that they can take on the most radical, extreme types of exercise out there. I’m not a big fan of making exercise a competitive sport because then it no longer becomes a lifestyle.”

5. Get to the root cause

On Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian, each trainer, including Harley, aim to get to the root of what has caused the client to become overweight. Harley argues that only once this is understood is the client truly ready for a physical transformation.

“It is human nature to want to look good and feel good, everybody wants to look better and feel better. And so it’s my job to problem-solve and shine a light on the issues between you wanting to look great and feel great and actually doing something about it.

"I often hear: ‘I don’t have enough time. I don’t have a gym membership. I don’t know how to cook', so my job is to come in and say make small changes – start with small habits that will build over time.”
