It’s easy to see why we're bonkers about avocados; the creamy little fruit has a range of health benefits and is now a firm favourite among many of us.

If you needed further proof that we're becoming obsessed with them, just look to Marks and Spencer, which has jumped on the avocado bandwagon and started selling pre-cut, pre-peeled avocados to meet our ever increasing avocado appetite.

But if that seems a step too far in laziness for you, fear not – we’ve got a quick and simple way to peel an avocado that’s less messy than the normal method and cuts down on waste too.

Step 1: Cut an avocado in half longways

Step 2: Scoop out the stone

Step 3: Take a tall glass and push the flesh of the avocado on to the rim

Step 4: Push the fruit down, sliding the skin of the avocado down the outside of the glass

Step 5: Repeat with the other half

Step 6: Discard the skin and use your avocado in one of these delicious recipes
