She’s spent almost three decades ruling the roost of British fashion, so it should come as no surprise that Kate Moss’s London home is as inimitable as her style.
The supermodel invited Architectural Digest into her home and showed off two of its rooms - her entry hall and bathroom - for its September issue.
Working with interior designer Katie Grove, who happens to be Kate’s former personal assistant, Kate admitted that she can be very “hands-on” when it comes to decorating her home.
“I love mixing old and new things, all different eras,” Kate told the magazine of her interiors style. “I don’t want to say I’m a control freak, but I’m a control freak!”
As well as an ultra-cool entry hall, complete with requisite millennial pink sofa and silver-tinted patterned wallpaper from de Gournay (called Anemones of Light, part of the company’s permanent collection) it’s Kate’s bathroom that’s the stuff of Pinterest dreams.
Said to be inspired by her favourite time of day – dusk – the bathroom is as glamorous as it is relaxing, centred on a claw-foot bath tub from Drummonds and offset with silver-tinted walls from bespoke wallpaper brand de Gournay. It even has its own fireplace, silver curtains and crystal chandelier.
“I love those old movies with glamorous bathrooms where they have chaise longues,” she told the magazine. “I wanted that kind of film noir feel in here.”
