This amazing replica caravan, built entirely from Lego, was unveiled at the Motorhome & Caravan Show at the NEC in Birmingham last week.
Comprising of 215,158 individual blocks, the incredible feat was completed by 12 Lego Certified Professional Builders over the course of 10 weeks, as can be seen in the timelapse video above - taking 1,000 hours in total and smashing the previous record of 20,000 bricks.
3.6 metres in length and 2.2 metres tall, the caravan is modelled on the classic ‘teardrop’ shape and is fitted out with all the usual features; working electric lights, a sink with running water, a fridge, a bed and seating. It even has chess set, toothbrushes and a frying pan all made from Lego too.
The model was built to celebrate 130 years of leisure caravanning and was on display for the duration of the show, which ran from 13th to 20th October.
James Bissett, marketing campaign director for NCC Events, organisers of the Motorhome & Caravan Show, said: “We wanted to create something truly unique to celebrate 130 years of leisure caravanning and we are absolutely delighted with our record breaking model.
“Everyone that’s seen it so far has been amazed by the level of detail and blown away by how similar it is to the real thing, the interior is incredible.”
