The full line up for Reading and Leeds Festival has been announced, so we found out everything you need to know about one of the UK’s biggest carousel festivals.
When is it?
The music festival takes place at both sites over the August bank holiday weekend, from Thursday August 23 to Sunday August 26.
Campers with early entry can get into the site a day early to find the best spot to pitch up.
Where are the festival sites?
The Reading site is in the centre of Reading and is held on Little John’s Farm, Richfield Avenue.
The Leeds site, however, is further out of its namesake city and is actually in Bramham Park, in Wetherby.
There will be shuttle buses available for festival-goers running from Leeds city centre and York train station to Bramham Park.
How does the carousel line-up work?
Reading and Leeds works on a carousel line-up basis.
This means that acts travel between the sites to perform at both locations on different days.
The artists playing Reading on Friday will be at Leeds on Saturday. Saturday’s acts at Reading will head to Leeds on Sunday, and Sunday’s performers at Reading will have already played Leeds on the Friday.
Who is headlining?
Fall Out Boy will be at Reading on the Friday and Leeds on the Saturday; Kendrick Lamar will perform at Reading on the Saturday and Leeds on the Sunday, and Kings of Leon will have played Leeds on the Friday before travelling to Reading on the Sunday.
Other artists performing worth keeping an eye out for include Sum 41, Dua Lipa, Wretch 32, Wolf Alice and Panic! At the Disco.
