Gin is seeing a surge in popularity of tsunami-like proportions right now – and one holiday company wants to help you float blissfully to the high ground of gin knowledge with gin tasting cruises.
Dorset Cruises has launched two cruises to introduce gin lovers to some gins they may not have tried.
On the Artisan Gin Cruise and Conker Gin Dorset Cruise, guests will climb aboard a vintage motor yacht named the Dorset Queen.
The Artisan Gin Cruise departs at 7pm on April 7 for three hours of bliss. Guests will be guided through a range of artisan gins by experts and eat canapes while soaking in the sights of Sandbanks and Studland bay for £35 a ticket.
If you really want to splash out, you can purchase a table for 6 for £300. For this price, they’ll chuck in a 700ml bottle of gin and some mixers.
The Conker Gin Cruise gives guests the chance to meet the makers of Dorset’s first gin distillery, Conker Gin. The makers will talk through the company’s history while guests are served three cocktails. Each guest will also leave with a signed bottle of Conker gin.
It also includes a three-course meal at a fancy restaurant – what more could you ask for? Tickets are slightly pricier than the artisan cruise at £125. there are only two dates available for this, April 11 and April 25, so move fast!
