Kate Middleton is not just our style crush, wowing us with her gorgeous eyes, her glossy locks and a wardrobe to die for.

She’s also super athletic – much like her younger sister Pippa. From rowing to playing cricket and having a go at table tennis, the Duchess of Cambridge has done it all, and with superb flair, we must add.

Here are a few times the Duchess has proved that she’s more than just a pretty princess.

1. When she played cricket in New Zealand

During her official visit to New Zealand with Prince William, Kate showed off her sporty skills by picking up a cricket bat at Latimer Square in Christchurch.

She was batting to the Duke of Cambridge’s bowling as they participated at a 2015 Cricket World Cup event during the eighth day of their royal tour.

We never managed to find out what the score was or whether she was bowled out – but the thing worth noting is that she did it all in her heels.

2. When she went rowing in Canada

The Duchess is a keen rower and has taken part in charity events in the past.

So obviously when an opportunity arose on the other side of the pond, Kate took control of the steering while rowing a dragon boat across Dalvay lake in Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island.

She even raced against her husband, but lost out to the Prince in a close finish.

3. When she took part in a tennis workshop in Edinburgh

Kate is regularly spotted at the Royal Box at Wimbledon. but what we didn’t know was she’s actually pretty good with the racket as well.

The Duchess of Cambridge recently took part in a tennis workshop with Andy Murray’s mother Judy at Craigmount High School in Edinburgh. And by the looks of it, she had a whale of a time.

The focus of the workshop was to foster local partnerships between charities, communities and schools to deliver programmes and sporting activities for children and young people.

4. When she played Three Tins at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow

Obviously, Kate didn’t have to jump in those chunky wedges but she did it anyway because she’s such a good sport. The Duchess of Cambridge was invited to take part in a South African game known as Three Tins during a visit to the Commonwealth Games Village in Glasgow.

The game involved knocking down three tins with a ball before running into the middle of the square, rebuilding them and jumping over them three times.

Now imagine doing that while wearing high platform shoes, with millions of people watching…

5. When she totally slayed at hockey

We imagine the mother-of-two is pretty good at hockey. Here she is in 2012, playing with the GB hockey teams at the Riverside Arena in the Olympic Park looking uber chic as always with not a hair out of place.

And then a few months later, she tries it out again at St Andrew’’s School in Pangbourne.

We think she’s getting used to playing in high heels…

6. When she went climbing in North Wales

During their royal visit in North Wales, the Duke and Duchess popped in to the Towers Residential Outdoor Education Centre in Capel Curig.

Kate took part in abseiling and rock climbing at the centre which is run by Wolverhampton Council providing adventure activities for children.

Instructor Phil Blain was so impressed with her performance, he said: “If that was Kate’s first abseil she did fantastic.”

7. When she played table tennis in London

If cricket, rock climbing and hockey wasn’t enough, here’s Kate having a go at table tennis during a visit to Bacon’s College in London.

She was there to attend the launch of a new sports project that aims to train the next generation of sports coaches. But she seemed quite willing to try the game herself, delivering the ball back to the opponent like a pro.

She’s certainly the queen of the court…

8. When she played volleyball at the former Olympic Park

Just 84 days after giving birth to Prince George, Kate was back on the scene performing her royal duties. The patron of SportsAid was seen playing volleyball during her visit to the Copper Box at the former Olympic Park in east London.

She was there to see how young athletes were benefiting from help from one of her charities.
