Greg is well-known as the trainer for the Sport Relief challenges. He’s previously trained and coached David Walliams to swim across the English Channel and along the River Thames, John Bishop for his Week of Hell, James Cracknell to run, cycle and swim to Africa, Cheryl Cole, Chris Moyles and Gary Barlow to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, Eddie Izzard to run a remarkable 43 marathons in 51 days and most recently, helped Mel C, Dara O'Briain and others to raft 110k down the Zambezi river.

Greg is a Professor in Applied Sport and Exercise Science at Liverpool John Moores University and a UK authority on exercise physiology, sports performance and rehabilitation - assessing, treating and improving the performance of athletes and sporting enthusiasts ranging from celebrities attempting their first mountain summit to Gold medal seeking Olympians.
A former modern pentathlete, Greg competed in two Olympic Games and has won European bronze and World Championship silver medals. After his athletic career he studied for his BSc (Hons) at Brunel University, completed his MSc in human performance at Frostburg State University in the USA and completed his PhD at St. Georges Hospital Medical School and the University of Wolverhampton, where he was research co-ordinator.
So far Greg has helped raise over £17 million for Comic Relief and Sport Relief projects, and his unique experience allow him to help train, mentor and support Davina as she travels the length of the country by foot, cycle and swimming to finish her BT Sport Relief: Beyond Breaking Point challenge.
