BT Sport has been granted exclusive access to the world’s most expensive footballer, Gareth Bale, after the Welsh wizard completed his record-breaking £85m transfer from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid this week.

Presenter Jake Humphrey will sit down with BT Sport Ambassador Bale in Cardiff this afternoon for an exclusive chat that will be screened tonight on BT Sport Live [BT Sport 1, 6.30pm-7pm].

Bale was unveiled to the Real Madrid supporters at the Bernabéu on Monday but will give his first one-on-one interview since the deal when he speaks to Jake today. Excerpts will be published on tonight, and an in-depth version of the interview will be broadcast on Friday night's BT Sport Live [BT Sport 1, 10pm-11pm].

Jake won’t be the only one asking the questions, though. He will be joined by BT Sport colleague Steve McManaman, the original British galactico to make the move from the Premier League to Real Madrid.

McManaman left Liverpool to sign for Real Madrid in 1999 and enjoyed a brilliant four-year stint at the club, successfully integrating himself into Spanish culture and picking up two Champions League winners' medals along the way.

If anyone knows how to propser at Madrid, it's McManaman, and he will be sharing his thoughts on life at the club with Bale.

We've also been pooling your questions, using the #AskBale Twitter hashtag, and Jake will put 10 of the best to Bale during his conversation with Los Blancos’ most-recently acquired galactico.

You asked Bale about the pressure such an astronomical price-tag attracts, his future chemistry with new team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, his journey from the Southampton academy, and his experiences as a Tottenham player at White Hart Lane.

Watch Jake Humphrey's exclusive interview with Gareth Bale on BT Sport Live from 6.30pm on BT Sport 1.
