Idyllic beaches, carefree days filled with surfing and yoga and a chance to explore the buzzing streets of Lisbon (and stuff yourself full with authentic food while doing so).
Sound like a pretty sweet holiday to you?
Yeah, we thought so.
Well, it’s a good job then that travel company Topdeck, founded in 1973 by a group of friends with a double decker bus, has just launched its new “surfari” trip, offering exactly that over the course of eight sunshine-filled days in Portugal.
Topdeck has grown to offer a huge variety of planned trips all over the world – this latest one has been designed to let surfers of all levels (yes, you can totally be a beginner on the waves, don’t worry) explore some of Europe’s best surf spots, found in Portugal. FYI, the itinerary include Lagos, Ericeira and Lisbon.
Here’s an idea of the country’s chilled-out surf scene…
Erm, just how insane does Portugal’s coastline look?!
The trips will run from April until September and will cost you between £725 and £970…*winces at bank account*
You get quite a lot for your money though – we’re talking breakfast every day, plus some other meals, seven nights’ accommodation (in a hostel, but hey, that’s all part of the fun), a yoga lesson, guided tours of all major cities and (phew, we’re running out of breath here) all the travel in between places on one of Topdeck’s coaches.
Oh and you’ll have an awesome trip leader too…
If you’re feeling desperate to plan getting out on a surfboard already, you can book your “surfari” here.
But in the meantime, you might wanna get practising…
