It seems we are pretty curious when it comes to scary reptiles.

Scientists from Oxford University and Tel Aviv University have gone and ranked the most-searched for reptiles on Wikipedia and found some interesting data.

The research team – made up of computer scientists, zoologists and geographers – found that scary species such as the Komodo dragon, saltwater crocodile and king cobra were of great interest to us.

Here are the top 10 reptiles viewed on the English-language version of Wikipedia in 2014:
