A passenger found himself seeing double when he met his ‘twin stranger’ on a Ryanair plane.

Neil Thomas Douglas was a passenger on the flight to Galway on Thursday, and a friend posted a photograph of him with the man seated next to him.

The image was uploaded to social media by Lee Beattie, who wrote: “Guy on right is the husband of my friend. Guy on left is a STRANGER he met on a flight last night!”

The pair were later to encounter a further coincidence when they checked into the same hotel in Galway before bumping into each other in a pub.

Neil Thomas Douglas and his doppelganger

Neil said: "Later that night, I went to the pub and again, there was my twin. Total weirdness.

"We had a laugh and a pint."

Many social media users have commented on the startling likeness, with one calling it “spooky”.
