Do not try this at home. And look away now if you are scared of heights.
This breathtaking video shows French stunt group The Skyliners attempting to walk across a scarily ‘slackline’ suspended between two hot-air balloons.
If that wasn’t thrilling enough, the attempt takes place over the Montsec mountains in the foothills of the Pyrenees in Spain – with gorgeous sunny weather and amazing views.
In a stunning video by filmmaker Sébastien Montaz-Rosset, the daredevil friends are seen preparing for the feat and explaining how they will try to cross from one to the other.
But they have only tried it before at a height of two metres – and in the air it is going to be hard to maintain the tension of the rope between the two balloons.
As members try to walk across the rope, the clip shows views from the walker’s head cam so we have no choice but to look down with them.
None of the team managed to cross this time – you can see a couple falling off in the film – but thankfully they’re equipped with parachutes and one is even holding an umbrella.
The group have vowed to try the challenge again in a few days.
“Thanks to the talent of the pilots, we came really close. We'll be going back again very soon to make it happen - keep updated,” they posted to their website.
The Skyliners describe themselves as “not only a bunch of friends, sharing the same passion for life, it is also a lifestyle, a way of thinking, a philosophy of living”.
They combine their skills to create multi-faceted stunts such as mountain climbing, tightrope walking, jumping from cliffs and ‘flying’ in the sky.
