It’s enough to make a grown man cry – a life-size version of the Fisher Price toy garage of the 1970s has been recreated for a stand at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Last year Honda went back to the 1970s and 1980s with a stand modelled on boxed toy cars at the annual motoring event at Goodwood in West Sussex.

This year’s stand takes the toy theme a step further by recreating the Fisher Price Little People Play garage of the 1970s.

The Honda stand at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2016 is based on the iconic Fisher Price toy garage

Just like the original 26cm-high garage, the 10-metre-tall Honda version features three levels in bright red and yellow colours, a vehicle ramp and the iconic tower - although the famous winding lift has been taken up with installations for the McLaren Formula One car and the Honda Civic Sport.

Philip Crossman, managing director at Honda UK, said: “As with last year’s award-winning stand designed around children’s toy cars, Honda has yet again steered away from the conventional corporate box favoured by the competition and come up with an eye-catching fun and highly evocative stand design.”
