Our Chief Executive Gavin Patterson has shared security insights with senior US and UK cybersecurity officials at the British Embassy in Washington.

Also among the guests were BT Security President Mark Hughes, BT Security VP Kevin Brown, BT in the Americas President Jennifer Artley and BT Group Corporate Affairs Director Ed Petter.

They illustrated our leadership in tackling cybersecurity as a key partner to the US and UK governments.

Mark took part in a panel discussion with Rob Joyce, the White House cybersecurity co-ordinator, and Ian Levy, technical director at the UK National Cyber Security Centre. Doug Maughan from the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) moderated.

Rob leads the US development of national and international cybersecurity strategy and policy. Doug directs and manages cybersecurity research and development activities at the DHS.

The US Government recently selected our US subsidiary, BT Federal, as a company that can bid for its largest IT and telecoms contracts.
