Microsoft had a thorough spring clean with its latest operating system Windows 10 and its web browsing experience certainly wasn’t neglected in the process.

The company sensationally announced a completely new browser called Edge to take over from Internet Explorer – although Internet Explorer 11 still has a bit of life left in it.

Going forward, Microsoft Edge is the default browser for Windows. If you’re on Windows 10, the chances are you’ve already used it – unless you’ve been avoiding it. Edge has been made specifically for Windows 10, so you won’t find it on any other operating system around.

Want a little more info about Edge and how to get the most of it? Here are some of the burning questions answered as well as tips and tricks – you can also hit play on the video above for even more great advice.

What’s new with Edge?

As well as a lick of paint, Microsoft has thrown in a number of new features, including a Reading Mode to simplify the page’s layout, putting emphasis on text.

Users can also use Web Note to annotate a web page – this can be done from any machine running Windows 10 although it obviously works better on a touchscreen device such as the Surface Pro 4.
