Today’s children have grown up surrounded by technology, using laptops, touchscreens and tablets with ease and ability often surpassing their parents.

But what do young children make of some of the classic gadgets – things that adults have grown up with and loved? We gave 11 children five gadgets to try: a Nintendo Game Boy, a typewriter, a Stylophone, an Atari games console and a slide projector. Would they enjoy playing with them, would they find them confusing or would they just hate them? Check out the videos below to find out.
