All the apps are free to download and you can log in using your BT ID.
Keep up to date with your BT account using the award-winning My BT app. As long as you’ve got an internet connection, you can view lots of useful information about your account whenever you like.
The app has just been updated, so you can now view usage for all products including landline, BT Mobile, BT TV and broadband. Find out how much you next bill, pay it and download it as a PDF.
If you’ve ordered any new products or services, you can track the order and view engineer appointments.
The My BT app notifies you of any service issues in your area and you can also use it to restart your BT Home Hub remotely.
BT Broadband and BT Mobile customers get free access to over 5 million wi-fi hotspots around the UK with the BT Wi-fi app. This means you can get online if you run out of data on your mobile.
Log in just once using your BT ID and the app will remember your details, so you’ll be able to connect automatically to the nearest BT Wi-fi hotspot.
The app includes a map that uses your smartphone’s location information to find your nearest hotspot, as well as directions for how to get there.
BT Broadband customers get 5GB, 50GB or 500GB free cloud storage with BT Cloud, depending on the package they have bought. BT is the only broadband provider to offer this to its customers.
You can free up space on your phone by keeping your content securely backed up using the BT Cloud app, which also means it’s still there if something happens to your device.
BT Cloud backs up photos, videos, music, documents, along with your phones contacts, text messages and call logs. Share content stored on BT Cloud with family and friends with a secure link and even make music available offline – so you can listen to it if you don’t have an internet connection.
BT Cloud syncs across smartphones, tablets and laptops, so you can access your content across all devices as long as you’ve got an internet connection.
BT Virus Protect
As well as protecting PCs, BT’s security software BT Virus Protect is now available as a mobile app, protecting Android smartphones and tablets from viruses.
Based on McAfee’s security software, it provides real-time virus protection from 611 million viruses, checking web pages, files, apps and SD cards as well as blocking phishing sites.
Other features include blocking unwanted calls and the ability to add a PIN to apps. In the unfortunate event your phone gets lost or stolen, use the app to sound an alarm and view its location. It will even try and take a photo of the person who has the device and send it to you via email.
