The great thing about tablets is that they start up instantly so you can get right down to sending an email in a matter of seconds, rather than having to wait around for a computer or laptop to boot up.
Getting your BT email account set up on your Android tablet is pretty easy, too.
These steps are for the Tesco Hudl 2 running Android 4.0 and they may be slightly different if you’re using a later version of the operating system, or a different Android tablet.
You’ll need to be connected to Wi-Fi or a mobile data network to follow these steps.

Step 1: Launch Android Settings
Tap the Home button and then tap the Apps icon (a white circle with six dots inside) at the bottom or right side of the screen, depending on the orientation of your tablet.
Tap the Settings icon (not Google Settings) — it looks like a cog.
Step 2: Add a new email account
Scroll down the Settings screen to the Accounts section and tap + Add account, followed by the IMAP option.
Step 3: Enter your BT email account details
Enter your BT email address (usually email@example.com) and password into the boxes, and tap the Next button.
Step 4: Edit the default settings
Your Hudl will then configure your email account automatically and validate your settings. If all is well, it will then display an Account options screen. If not, check that you’ve typed your email address and/or password correctly.
By default, the email app will check for new email every 15 minutes, but unless you use your Hudl for urgent emails, you might want to change this to Never prolong to battery life. You can then just check for new emails manually by opening the Email app.
Leave the other settings as they are and tap the Next button.
Step 5: Give the new email account a name
Your email account will then be set up and you’ll be asked to give it a name. By default, this is your email address, but you can shorten this to BT Internet or just BT.
You can also edit the name that appears on the emails you send.
Tap the Next button to finish the set-up.
Step 6: Check for new email
Tap the Home button to return to the Android Home screen and tap the Apps button again, followed by the Email (not Gmail) icon.
Your Hudl should have already downloaded your latest emails, but you can update your Inbox by pulling down on the screen to refresh it, or by selecting Refresh from the Android menu at the top-right of the screen (three vertical dots).
