May the Fourth has birthed a pretty ambitious crossover event, with the worlds of Star Wars and Alexa colliding.

In honour of the day’s theme, which springs of course from the famous quote “may the force be with you”, Amazon’s virtual assistant has learned how to speak like Yoda and can recite the Jedi Code on request.

Those who have access to Alexa via the Amazon Echo devices can ask several questions, including: “Alexa, can you talk like Yoda?”, “Alexa, tell me a Star Wars Joke” or even “Alexa, use the force”.

Users can ask her for advice about which order to watch the films in, as well as asking her to recite Star Wars quotes.

Amazon has also curated a nearly two-hour long Best of Star Wars playlist to celebrate the day, featuring 25 “iconic Star Wars film scores”.

The songs can be found here.
