Following a spate of announcements early this year, smartwatches are set to be hot in 2014 and now even kids can get in on the time-and-tech-related action.

The VTech Kidizoom Smart Watch is described as an ‘8-in-1’ interactive watch. It includes a camera that can shoot photos and video, and three games.

There’s a motion sensor, voice recorder, alarm clock, stopwatch and of course it can tell the time too, with the device boasting both digital and analogue modes.

Features are controlled via the 1.4-inch colour touchscreen.  When hooked up to a computer, photos can be edited via the VTech Learning Lodge software.

Aimed at children aged 5-12 years, the VTech Kidizoom Smart Watch will be available in August priced £39.99 in pink and blue.

VTech also unveiled a tablet designed for babies - the VTech InnoTab 3 Baby.
