Instagram has caused a stir in the social media world by announcing it is rolling out a new feature called Stories – a feature that enables users to share the best parts of their day in one flurry of images and video.

If you’re thinking that sounds an awful lot like a Snapchat Story you’re not the only one. Plenty of social media users on Twitter are thinking the same thing.

There were some who suddenly felt as though they had split loyalties.

But then there were a lot more people who were just enjoying the drama, and comedy, of it all.

And then the comparisons began.
