Curiosity has been on Mars for a year now and Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has released a video condensing its activities into 120 seconds.
‘Twelve Months in Two Minutes; Curiosity’s First Year on Mars’ comprises of 548 photos taken between August 2012 to July 2013.
The photos have been combined to create a short film provide insight into what the rover has been doing on Mars.
Taken using the rover’s Hazard-Avoidance camera, we see Curiosity collecting its first scoops of Martian rock, driving and drilling.
Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on your point of view), there’s no sign of extra-terrestrial life!
The quality isn’t great, but it’s still pretty amazing to visit Mars – albeit for two minutes.
