Apple’s smartwatch – or the iWatch - hasn’t even been confirmed, but these realistic renders show a design path Apple could take.
Created by Federico Ciccarese and the team at Ciccarese Design (via 9to5 Mac), the four pictures show a device with a flexible display that curves around the wrist.
The interface is based on iOS 7, with four columns and six vertical rows – the same as the current iPhone 5.
The team has already created two prototypes, one black and one white.
Even though the iWatch concept is purely fictitious, the design is incredibly realistic and looks like something Apple would create.
Apple has been rumoured to be working on a watch for several years, although the notoriously secret company isn’t letting any information slip.
Speaking at the D11 conference, CEO Tim Cook said the area of wearable tech was “ripe for exploration”.
The company later hired Paul Deneve, CEO of Yves Saint Laurent and a man with exhaustive fashion experience to work on ‘special projects’.
In July the company applied for the trademark “iWatch” in Japan.
Until Apple is ready to announce the real iWatch, we will just have to enjoy these concepts.
