Are you worried about what your child is getting up to online? A new tablet designed especially for children could be the answer.

Named the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, it features its own app store which includes only games, educational and entertaining apps, and e-books deemed suitable for younger users.

The tablet lets parents keep tabs on what their kids see online too. You can set it so your child can only access certain apps, and the time management feature lets you put a limit on how long they use the tablet for. If they reach that limit, the tablet locks itself.

The Android operating system has also been completely redesigned to appeal to kids, with more colourful, friendly icons.

It’s a seven-inch device, so it’s smaller than a full-size iPad. It also features two cameras – one on the back, and one on the front for making video calls.

Its orange bumper should mean it’ll withstand a few drops and knocks, too.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids will go on sale online on Friday November 1, and you’ll be able to buy it in-store from Toys ‘R’ Us, Argos, Shop Direct, Dixons, JLP, Asda, and from the Samsung Experience store from November 8. There's no official price yet.
